Long ago...before history was recorded...an ancient evil was unleashed upon the world...this malevolent creation is known as THE GREAT ZAMBINI. Sentenced to Purgatory at death, Zambini struggled with the sin cleansing process which eventually led the Heavens to cast him out of Purgatory and back onto earth...a mistake the Heavens will NEVER make again.

Zambini, an ancient sorcerer who must feed on souls to survive, has been infecting the world for thousands of years. Besides murdering and soul collecting, Zambini strives to conquer any act that threatens his existence. One of his most notable victories involved conquering a clan of mimes led by the sinister Masta Mime. Zambini realized the value of the clan's leader and spared his soul, becoming comrades with the mime.

Working with Masta Mime was proliferous for Zambini, however the ultimate goal was still out of reach. The mime and the magician traveled the world in search of a relentless warrior to accelerate their mission. Discouragement settled in when the hunt seemed to run dry, until they stumbled upon the KrypT. From the KrypT rose the trapped soul of KrucifeR in response to the vicious wishes of the magician, thus completing the triad of energy needed for conquest.
